Don't worry, you're not the only one
who doesn't know where to start

Whether it's baby #1 or baby #3, there's always something you wish someone would just tell you straight. Here are the questions I get asked most when coming into a consultation — the perfect place to start before we hop on ours.

What's included in an overnight shift?

  • Feeding baby overnight or bringing baby to you to feed

  • Breastfeeding tips on positioning, how a feed should look, creating a breast milk stash etc.

  • Burping, swaddling, soothing, diaper changes, putting baby down until the next stratch

  • Light newborn nursery care (washing bottles, organizing nursery or shared space, etc) overnight so you can actually sleep

  • All the tips and tricks: when to introduce a bottle, sleep safety, creating a schedule, breastfeeding, emotional awareness and healing, creating a balanced lifestyle, etc.

  • Bonus: little things, like homemade overnight oats waiting for you in the morning

Do you offer daytime support too?

Right now I only offer overnight care.

How much do you charge?

My rate for overnight postpartum care is $80/hour ($640 for a standard 8-hour night.) I help families curate a schedule with the perfect amount of nights and hours that best fits their budget — that's exactly what we'll talk through during our consultation.

What areas do you serve?

I serve the greater Bay Area — including San Francisco, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Jose, Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, San Leandro, Hayward, and Orinda — plus anywhere nearby. I'm also available for travel contracts outside the area on a case-by-case basis — reach out and we can talk through it.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible, spots fill up quickly! Though I'd recommend reaching out whenever is best for you. Baby could be born just today and you're always welcome to schedule a call.

Are you certified?

Yes — I have been a Certified Postpartum Doula (CPpD) for over eleven years now.

I am Adult, Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED certified via Red Cross.

I am also a Certified Lactation Education Counselor via UC San Diego.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I currently am accepting clients who have coverage with Carrot Fertility Insurance.

What happens on our free call?

We'll talk through your due date, what kind of support you're picturing, and whether it's a good fit on both sides — no pressure, no obligation. If it feels right, we'll talk next steps.
